SUP feat 831 Empire
This week we welcome the 831 Empire to the podcast. The 831 Empire is the Monterey County chapter of an international group of San Francisco 49er supporters groups. Besides being die-hard supporters of their team, they also support the community. This episode was recorded several hours after the 49ers tough loss to the Raiders but they powered through.

The Parade of Lights Episode
The annual Parade of Lights in downtown Salinas passes in front of the Public House so we decided to set up and record from the sidewalk. We do our best to narrate the events of one of the largest events in Salinas. New York City has its Thanksgiving Day Parade and this is our response.

This is the fourth month that we are bringing you the Cherry Beans Open Mic during the First Friday Artwalk in Downtown Salinas and the house was packed for this one. There were people all over the cafe and even some that had to stand right outside the door! You don't need to worry about any of that as the whole show is in this one episode.

10-12-14 SUP feat Vanessa and Jeanette from Ciclovia Salinas
This episode our guests are two volunteers that are helping plan the the Ciclovia Salinas event on November 1st. There are over 50 high school students involved in different phases of the planning process. Vanessa is a senior from Everett Alvarez High School who spoke in great detail about her and the other students involvement and how other kids can help out.

No, not Monique the comedienne, but Monique from Salinas, the 26 year old Alvarez graduate with a Masters in Poetry. We continue to find the people that make this such a great community to live in and Monique is a true gem for this city. She shares several of her poems with us and if you have spent any time in Salinas you will automatically be transported to the places in her poetry. Instantly you become a child again and her words are so descriptive you can almost smell the air described in her poems. She is truly a great citizen of Salinas and a very talented poet.

Parking is a nightmare but if you go to a Brazilian steakhouse first, at least you can wait in gridlock on a full stomach. Also on this episode, why the Salinas Police and the people living in the HWY 68 corridor give Salinas a bad name.

7-13-14 SUP #8 feat Posole and Marek aka Polish Mark
Here is the newest episode of Salinas Underground! This week Posole steps in front of the mic to cover for Cujo. Some topics include: a recap of the world cup and how Messi disappeared in the knockout stages (3 min), the growth of the MLS following the United States Mens success in Brasil (10 min). Also Marek, or as Baldo calls him Polish Mark, sits in to talk about his interactive art piece that was projected on the Grehound building.
